Arthroscopic removal of a calcium deposit of the shoulder

Calcium deposits are localized at the inferior surface of the rotator cuff / tendon, appearing as a red hotspot.

 

Arthroscopic removal from the articular side with a needle. Within the needle you can see the white calcium.

 

Using a spoon or motorized shaver the calcific material is removed.

 

Removal of a calcium deposit from the subacromial space, outside and above the main shoulder joint. An electrode is used to localize an remove the calcium deposit of the shoulder.
